The Atchison Trolley offers a fun way to discover the charms of Atchison during an hour-long tour past the city's main points of interest. A friendly and knowledgeable driver provides a narrative on the history of Atchison and many of the city's 18 sites on the National Register of Historic Places. The trolley departs from the Santa Fe Depot on 10th Street. The trolley offers special tours showcasing the brilliant colors of autumn in Atchison and along the Missouri River bluffs. Haunted Homes Tours are highlighted by costumed storytellers that thrill riders with tales of strange goings-on inside Atchison's creepiest "haunted homes." Trolley Tour of Lights features hot wassail, caroling and Christmas stories on these tours past Atchison's most dazzling Christmas lights and displays. The Atchison Trolley is also available for charter by groups, businesses and weddings, anniversary or birthday parties.

Heart of America Shakespeare Festival Kansas City MO June18-July7 The Heart of America Shakespeare Festival is set under the stars in South Moreland Park near Nelson Atkins Museum of Art. It is a perfect way to spend a summer evening with family and friends. They have several programs to study and explore such as Speaker's Bureau and Poster and Sonnet Contest. The faculty includes theatre professionals, actors, and educators experienced in performing and teaching Shakespeare. Many of the instructors are veterans of festival productions.
