Baker University is the oldest 4-year college in Kansas. The campus includes Old Castle, one of the oldest college buildings in the state, which now houses a museum with many antiques and historical exhibits.
Among the early donors to Baker University was Abraham Lincoln, who gave $100 in 1864. Enrollment is close to 1000. The campus welcomes visitors.
Since 1858, Baker University has built a strong reputation for academic excellence. We offer a dedicated and caring faculty, a low student-to-teacher ratio, and a learning environment that promotes participation and sparks ideas. The result has been impressive. Ninety-eight percent of Baker graduates are employed or in professional school within six months of graduation.
