Home to the Coffey County Historical Society and Museum with 14,000 square feet of display space. The museum features one of the states largest doll collections, a restored 1896 schoolhouse and an 1895 church. Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation is the countys largest employer and the states only nuclear power plant. Tours are available with advanced scheduling. Fishing is plentiful in Coffey County, home to John Redmond Reservoir, Coffey County Lake, New Strawn City fishing lake, Gridley City fishing lake and Lebo City fishing lake.
