Jetmore Public Library, serving an area of 920 residents, has a collection of 16,000 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 320 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as 600 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes. Staffing consists of one employee, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $2,300. Patrons make 6,000 visits annually, and check out materials 19,800 times. Twenty-four percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
