Search Collinston Louisiana

In the late 1920s Mr. and Mrs. William B. Reily bought a site near Collinston, Louisiana and built a summer home there. They named it Kalorama, meaning "beautiful view". The Reilys were attracted to the astounding beauty of the site, and the huge variety of songbirds which remain to this day.

The purpose of Kalorama is to conserve and preserve our natural heritage and to provide a protected area for all who come to enjoy, study and learn. The emphasis is placed on the relationship between plants and animals and their natural habitats, and their value, and what species are indeed native to the area, state and country.
