If you enjoy fishing, water sports and fine outdoor living, then this oasis nestled amid towering cypress trees may be your idea of heaven. The beautiful, clear oxbow lake that was once part of the Mississippi River gives the park its name and gives visitors access to excellent fishing, boating and water sports along the lake. Lake Bruin offers 25 improved campsites on the water's edge with a spectacular view of the lake, a primitive group campsite, three large fishing piers, a boat launch, rental boats and a boat shed for docking.
