LifeCare Hospitals of Shreveport was the first hospital in the LifeCare healthcare system. Originally opened in 1992 as a 25-bed acute care unit inside of Doctors Hospital of Shreveport, LifeCare Hospitals of Shreveport has expanded its operations to currently include three campuses offering a total of 130 beds. LifeCare Hospitals of Shreveport employs a highly trained staff who can offer the most advanced services to patients with medically complex diagnoses. Since its opening they have focused on perfecting a clinical model that facilitates a shortened, cost-effective, outcome-focused recovery.
