San Francisco Plantation, built in 1856, is a historic plantation house museum. The galleried house of the Creole open suite style is nestled under centuries old live oaks and contains one of the finest antique collections in the country. It features five artistically hand painted ceilings, faux marbling, and faux wood graining throughout. Catering is available from an assortment of area chefs and banquet specialist. The house has been declared a National Historic Landmark and is open daily to the public.
