This sanctuary lies at the base of Wachusett Mountain which is purported to be one of the best hawk watching spots in New England. Visitors can hike the eleven miles of trail at Wachusett Meadow and see the 200-acre beaver pond that is the home of beavers, mink, otters, wood ducks and herons. The sancuary covers approximately 1,000 scenic acres full of native wildlife.
