The Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center is a 500 acre preserve located 15 minutes from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. With a variety of habitats, the Center is an excellent place to see the Chesapeake’s wintering population of waterfowl including: canvasback, American black duck, shoveler, ruddy ducks, redhead, Canada goose and tundra swan. They offer a variety of unique programs for schools and community groups about wildlife, wetlands, and biodiversity.
