An international religious congregation devoted to the care of the poor and sick, the Sisters of Bon Secours (Good Help) are committed to alleviating human suffering of all types. The congregation currently has health care ministries in France, Ireland, Great Britain, the United States and South America. More than 400 Sisters serve as nurses, physicians, therapists, administrators and in religious and supportive roles. In the United States, the congregation's health care ministries, which are operated by the not-for-profit Bon Secours Health System, Inc., now include 24 acute-care hospitals, one psychiatric hospital, and 9 long-term care facilities, along with numerous ambulatory sites, 8 assisted living facilities, 2 retirement communities, home health care services and hospices. These facilities are all dedicated to the Sisters' mission of providing "Good Help to Those in Need".
