Located on Aberdeen Proving Ground, this museum ranks among the largest and best collections of ordnance in the world; most of the items in the museum's collection are rare, and many others are irreplaceable, one-of-a-kind artifacts. The collection includes 8,000 items, ranging from small arms to artillery and tanks, from the colonial period to the present; displays trace development and engineering milestones of US military weaponry. Many prototypes, both successful and those that never made it to production, can be seen exhibited on the grounds.

Photographs may be taken of both indoor and outdoor exhibits; a museum gift shop also operates on the grounds.

Open daily; closed all national holidays, except Armed Forces Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Veterans Day.
