These facilities are home to a variety of native Maine wildlife that have been injured, orphaned, or hampered by life spent in captivity and which cannot be returned to a life in the wild. Assorted species are on exhibit here for the purposes of public education, as well as visitor appreciation of these creatures; among them are moose, mountain lions, lynx, bald eagles, kestrels, black bear, and others.
The Maine Wildlife Park interpretive building features educational exhibits and interactive displays which promote wildlife awareness. Located just north of I95, the Center is open daily, mid-April through Veteran's Day.
