This state wildlife management area is situated adjacent to the South Branch of the Meduxnekeag River, just south of Hodgdon. Over 6,000 acres of upland forests and a variety of wetland habitats provide terrain well-suited to hunting and fishing. Deer, moose, and waterfowl can be harvested here in season. Waters are accessible by both boats and canoes; several boat launches are available for public use.
Snowmobile trails extend seasonal use of the area; however, roads are not plowed December-March and are closed during the muddy season during April and May.
