This five-building museum complex provides a look at life in 19th-century rural Maine; re-created exhibits include a blacksmith shop, stencil shop, carriage house and freight shed. A variety of historical displays feature collections of farm equipment and other artifacts.
Highlights include the five-room Blossom House, built in the late 1700s. Guided tours of the site are offered Tuesday-Sunday afternoons, Memorial Day through the end of September; by appointment the rest of the year.
