Caro is located in Tuscola County(of which it is the county seat), and in the Central Region. This community is found off of Hwy 24 and east of Saginaw
Caro was known as Centerville when it was first settled in 1855. Although, the first police station that was established was called Tuscola Center. The two different names caused a lot of confusion and annoyance. After many years of controversy, the name Caro (short for Cairo, Egypt) was decided upon in 1869.
Today, Caro is surrounded by rich farmland, and full of commercial prosperity.
