East Jordan is in Charlevoix County, and in the Northern Region. This community is located at the junction of State Hwy's 32 and 66. East Jordan is also found at the mouth of the Jordan River and the southern most tip of Lake Charlevoix. When the village was incorporated in 1887, it took in the village of South Arm and then incorporated it as a city in 1911. With a strong industrial foundation and a growing tourist trade, the city of East Jordan is sure to advance with the rest of Charlevoix county.
