Search Grand Ledge Michigan

Grand Ledge is in Eaton County, and in the Central Region (part of the Lansing-East Lansing, Michigan metropolitan area).

Grand Ledge is located off of State Hwy 43 and also situated between Lansing and Portland.

Grand Ledge was first pioneered by Edmund L. Lamson in 1848. Lamson gave the settlement its name after viewing the high ledges of rock along the Grand River which flows through the town. It was incorporated as a village in 1871 and later as a city in 1893.

Today, this city still has its historic Victorian architecture while also continuing to grow with a diverse economy, including auto-parts production and materials handling equipment.
