Hale is in Iosco County, and in the Northern Region. You can locate Hale situated on Hwy 65, and also west of Tawas City. Hale began as a lumbering camp, started by New York investor, C. D. Hale, in 1880. The creek and nearby lake 2 miles west made it a perfect location for floating and distributing wood. Today, Hale is a fast growing community because of its location to so many lakes and streams.
