Our mission is to educate, lead and serve youth and adults through a positive learning environment providing hands-on experiences in a natural setting. The Residential Outdoor Education Program is the largest service Hartley provides to the school districts of the Saginaw area and beyond. Over 4,000 students annually have participated in this 2 and 1/2 day program since 1975. Registrations are accepted in April for the following year. A minimum of 50 students is needed in order to register, although smaller schools can be combined if desired in order to meet this requirement. During their stay students will experience a variety of hands-on outdoor classes to enhance their classroom learning.
