Ithaca is in Gratiot County (of which is the county seat), and in the Central Region. You can locate Ithaca on Hwy 27, 7 miles southeast of Alma. Beautiful farms flank the city limits on both sides; the agricultural heritage of the area is celebrated in an Agricultural Expo each June. A Michigan State Police post is located just north of town. Ithaca's population abounds in creative energy, as evidenced in the work of a local sculptor displayed on lawns north of town, several very attractive gift and antique shops, and a motel owner who sculpts graceful images of sea life.
