Kalamazoo Kennel Club's objectives are to further the advancement of all breeds of purebred dogs. It protects and advances the interest of all breeds of purebred dogs, and encourages sportsman-like competition at dog shows, obedience trials, tracking tests and field trials. The club conducts sanctioned matches, dog shows and obedience trials, under the guidance of the American Kennel Club. It educates the public with regard to training, breeding and proper care and maintenance of pure bred dogs. Puppy kindergarten, beginning, advanced, open and utility classes are offered. The Kalamazoo Kennel Club building is occasionally available for rent. It features a full kitchen, a separate dining or meeting room, and an activity room.

Mentone Egg Festival Mentone IN May30-June1 The three-day event features entertainment, games, food, a parade in the downtown area, a play area for kids, and a huge car, truck, motorcycle and tractor show.
