At 96,000 acres, it is the largest wildlife refuge east of the Mississippi River. Our outdoor recreation center includes 15 acres of well maintained grounds with 1800 feet of frontage on the Manistique River.

Offers camping, cabins and an outdoor specialty store. Daily summer activities include canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking and fishing. Take a float trip down the Fox River for native brook trout, or head out into one of twelve lakes for bass, pike, or panfish.
