Located on the Mississippi River, Charles A. Lindbergh State Park offers visitors a delightfully pastoral picnic area that includes a historic Work Projects Administration (WPA) picnic shelter and a stone water tower. Recreation includes fishing, canoeing on Pike Creek, or hiking the park's tree-lined trails. Bald eagles can be sighted here in spring and fall. Located next to the park grounds is the historic homesite of Charles A. Lindbergh Sr., father of famous aviator Charles A. Lindbergh Jr., operated by the Minnesota Historical Society. The park is a favorite for family reunions, so reservations are recommended for summer and fall holidays and weekends. Park open Monday-Friday; entrance is located 1 mile southwest of Little Falls.
