Gliding just about Moose Mountain's treetops, the North Shore Mountain Tram takes visitors right to the summit of the North Shore's highest peak. The comfortable two-mile ride follows the Poplar River Valley where guests may spot dozens of bird species and critters of the boreal forest, like pine marten, deer, bear, or even the occasional moose. At the top, acres of wilderness and Lake Superior vistas sprawl for a view that can take in more than one hundred miles. Visitors can take a short stroll to the observation deck, grab a snack at the deli, or take off on a mountain bike trek. And in the fall, when a rush of color paints the mountains and valleys in shimmering gold, orange, and red...there is simply no better perch from which to see it all.
