In 1950 two providers opened the Professional Medical Clinic in Cambridge. Raymond Magnuson, MD, and Gerald Larson, MD, pioneered what began as a two-physician medical practice and a 30-bed hospital. Today it has become a regional medical center with a multi-specialty clinic that serves residents of the city of Cambridge and much of Isanti County.
In 1995 Cambridge Medical Center was formed by the consolidation of Cambridge Memorial Hospital and Professional Medical Associates. Currently there are more than 45 physicians and affiliated health care providers, specializing in a variety of health care services.
Cambridge Medical Center is dedicated to the health and wellness of the community. They serve senior members of the community as well as young children by offering events like flu clinics and school athletic physical exams. The center also maintains strong affiliations with nursing homes and assisted living facilities in caring for their patients.
