Get your vacation into high gear with a bike tour on the Willard Munger State Trail, one of Minnesotas most extensive trail systems. The trail passes right through the heart of some of this regions most spectacular scenery along more than 50 miles of well-maintained asphalt trails. There are no trail fees, and entry points are just minutes from Cloquet. The 37-mile Western segment passes near 2 state parks, as well as the sites of the historic 1894 Hinckley fire and 1918 Cloquet and Moose Lake fires. Museums and monuments along the way describe a full range of historical and cultural events unique to the area. A 15-mile Eastern segment, designed for snowmobiling, is easily accessible for any adventurous cyclist and worth the effort, Jay Cooke State Park, outstanding cliffs along the St. Louis River, and views of the Duluth-Superior harbor await you.
