Ozarks Afro-American Heritage Museum is located 24 miles northwest of Springfield. The collection includes quilts and textiles created by slaves and their descendants, hand-built furniture and farm implements, pastel portraits and photographs of local Black families. The museum welcomes school groups and tours.
