An acute-care hospital licensed for 111 beds, Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital serves the people of St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren counties in Missouri. The hospital enjoys the intimacy and friendliness of a community hospital while benefiting from BJC HealthCare's expansive network of health care services.
The hospital was opened as St. Peters Hospital in 1980. Barnes Hospital of St. Louis acquired the hospital in 1988, and it became a not-for-profit entity called Barnes St. Peters Hospital. The hospital, which was renamed Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital in 1996 when Barnes Hospital and The Jewish Hospital of St. Louis merged, is located on a campus with two professional buildings housing physicians' offices. The more than 450 physicians on staff represent more than 30 medical and surgical specialties and subspecialties. The medical facility offers full inpatient services, including 24-hour, physician-staffed pediatric, obstetric and intensive-care coverage.
