Located on the south side of the Lake of the Ozarks State Park, Ozark Caverns offer visitors a unique opportunity to view what lies beneath the Ozark hills. Cave formations such as the 'Angel Showers' are featured on a cave tour conducted with hand held lanterns, as well cave occupants like bats and salamanders. Tours are available daily during June, July and August and on Saturdays and Sundays in April-May and September-October. Cave is closed November-March. A self-guided nature trail takes visitors through Coakley Hollow Natural Area which features an authentic 'fen,' or small glade with a spring-fed stream. A visitor center and picnic area are located nearby.

Heart of America Shakespeare Festival Kansas City MO June18-July7 The Heart of America Shakespeare Festival is set under the stars in South Moreland Park near Nelson Atkins Museum of Art. It is a perfect way to spend a summer evening with family and friends. They have several programs to study and explore such as Speaker's Bureau and Poster and Sonnet Contest. The faculty includes theatre professionals, actors, and educators experienced in performing and teaching Shakespeare. Many of the instructors are veterans of festival productions.
