Hamilton Public Library, serving an area of 1,800 residents, has a collection of 15,400 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 240 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as 420 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes.
Staffing consists of one employee, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $5,600. Patrons make 4,800 visits annually, and check out materials 11,000 times. Thirty-four percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
