The Museum features Ethel Wright Mohamed's stitch works. She was often called Mississippi's Grandma Moses of stitchery. Ethel created intricate scenes from the landing of the Mayflower to the 1974 Folklife Festival in Washington DC. She used beautiful and intricate stitches to tell the stories of her family's life on fabric. Through this unique and beautiful 'painting with thread' she has given a view into the history of the Mississippi Delta's way of life. The museum is open by appointment only.
