The Glacier Institute is a private, non-profit organization that provides over 100 courses annually about the diverse natural and cultural resources of the Glacier National Park ecosystem. Courses range from one to eight days and offer a unique hands-on approach at two resident facilities, the Glacier Park Field Camp, just inside the west entrance to the park, and the Big Creek Outdoor Education Center, just outside the park on the scenic north fork of the Flathead River. Course topics include wildlife, botany, geology, Blackfeet culture, herbalism, photography, writing, watercolor, sketching, journaling and much more.
