The Mineral County Museum opened in 1977. Featuring local history, it includes exhibits concerning mining, logging, and USFS activities. It is also a repostiroy of all local newspapers and many historical documents. Admission is free but groups must make appointments for tours to ensure that enough volunteers are present.
