Archdale

First settled in 1786 by Quakers who migrated from South Carolina and renamed in 1887 in honor of John Archdale, the first Quaker Governor of North Carolina. Archdale is located in Randolph County southwest of Greensboro, between Asheboro and Winston-Salem along US Hwy 311 near High Point, Thomasville, the Deep River, and Jamestown.
