Underwater stumps, logs and rocks can be a hazard to unaware boaters, but help create the perfect environment for anglers after bass, crappie, catfish and pan fish. The lake has 14,000 surface acres and allows space for all water activities including those that enjoy sailing.
There are more than 1,000 family campsites, many with showers and water/electric hookups. Backpack and canoe camping is also available.
Park Rangers hold regularly scheduled educational and interpretive programs about the area.
