Pender Memorial Hospital is a general acute medical and skilled nursing facility with 43 general acute beds and a 43-bed skilled nursing facility. The hospital opened in 1951. It became an affiliate of New Hanover Health Network in July 1999 when Pender Memorial Hospital officials signed a 20-year operating agreement with New Hanover Regional Medical Center. The hospital is owned by Pender County.
