This site contains many historic buildings including the 1875 plantation house of the Lane and Mordecai families. The house contains many of the origional furnishings. Also located in the park is the birthpace of Andrew Johnson, the 17th president of the United States, the Early Raleigh Office Building, an 1810 law office and the 1847 St. Mark's Chapel.
