Murray House Country Inn is a large plantation home, built in 1853, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The handwritten journal containing the day-to-day account of building this high-style Green Revival home still exists.
The inn offers six guest rooms and suites, plus facilities for small meetings and weddings. All guest rooms have period antiques, private baths, most with Jacuzzi tubs, desks with private phone and data lines and TV. The hotel offers complimentary beverages, morning newspaper, fax and gift certificates. Area attractions include Liberty Hall, the Cowan Museum, Westwater Country Hams and Duplin Winery.
