The shout of a pioneer farmer telling his horse to move, and the sound of a plow digging into prairie ground can almost be heard when walking through the Dale & Martha Hawk Museum.
At this unique museum you will see one-of-a-kind vehicles, like an unusual walking machine for going over rough terrain, and the 1912 Hackney Auto Plow. There are only a few of these around, and this one is the only one that is operational.
The Museum also has a vast collection of antiques and contains thousands of North Dakota farm implements, in both miniature and full-size. The wide range of farm machinery and household items takes visitors back to the early pioneer days. Most of the antique items, buggies, tractors, threshing machines, and cars are restored to perfection, looking exactly like the day they were brought home in the early 1900's.
