Lewis and Clark State Park, named for the two famous explorers who camped here in 1805, is located on one of the upper bays of the northern shores of Lake Sakakawea in southern Williams County.
The park features a well-stocked, full-service marina with gas dock, slip rentals, and campstore. The marina boat ramp provides access to the lake for boats of all sizes.
As with all parks on the lake, fishing and water sports are the major attractions. Fishermen will find angling excellent for walleye, sauger and northern pike. During the winter, ice fishing for perch and walleye are popular.
The park's store has a good selection of fishing accesories and fishing licenses are on sale there, as well. In addition, a fish cleaning station is located in the marina area.
