Edgar is located in Clay County southeast of Hastings, between Clay Center and Superior off of Hwy 14. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 618, an increase of 18 since 1990. Edgar is in the Central time zone. The EdgarFest in June is a popular attraction, as well as the Oregon Trail.
