The Beatrice State Development Center (BSDC) has served citizens with mental retardation since 1887. The Center is now an integral part of the Nebraska Health and Human Services System.
BSDC provides 24-hour residential, medical, habilitative, and consultative services for Nebraskans with mental retardation or related conditions. Each person served by BSDC is challenged to achieve independence; realize personal goals; develop meaningful relationships; and be safe, healthy, happy, and respected. The Center promotes a culture that embodies mutual respect, builds on people?s strengths, and gives a forward focus to the lives of the people who are served. BSDC serves approximately 400 individuals.
