Established in 1867 and part of the Nebraska State College System, this is a public institution offering curricula in the arts, business, military studies, teacher preparation, and technical studies. There is one graduate school. The 103 acre campus is in a rural area 60 miles south of Omaha. Including residence halls, there are 21 buildings. Fraternities, sororities and over 27 clubs and organizations are on campus. Tours of the campus are available.
