The Art Gallery of Newfoundland and Labrador has a permanent collection with primary focus on Canadian art from 1960 onwards. They form the province's major visual arts collection - over 4,000 works. The collection includes paintings, sculpture, photography, drawings and prints, as well as folk art. Over 100 public events, artists' talks, openings, concerts, readings, children's workshops, are presented annually by the gallery or in partnership with local organizations.
