Albert Einstein's home located in Princeton, near Alexandria, in Hunterdon County, is set in a tight line of other simple, yet elegant, houses. The white two-story house with a large front porch in the Greek revival style was home to the famous scientist from the time he moved from Germany until his death in 1955. Einstein requested at his death that his house not be turned into a museum. After his death his wife and daughter lived there until their deaths, when it then became property of the Institute for Advanced Study. A professor now lives in the house and it is not open to visitors.
