Tularosa is located in Otero County, and in the Southeast New Mexico region. To find Tularosa, head just north of Alamogordo between Alamogordo and Ruidoso along US Highway 70 near the Lincoln National Forest. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 2,789, an increase of 174 since 1990.
