For almost 50 years the Guild Family has been in the retail clothing business. In 1983, Jim Guild opened Famous Brands and brought outlet shopping to Watkins Glen. He started with only 900 square feet of space and one brand name.. Woolrich. Today Famous Brands has grown more than ten fold. With over 100 brand names and more than 12,000 square feet of retail space, Famous Brands has become a shopping destination for tourist and town's folk alike.
