The Jamestown Audubon Nature Center, located on the 600-acre Burgeson Wildlife Sanctuary, is a project of the Jamestown Audubon Society whose mission is to provide educational opportunities for the appreciation, understanding and enjoyment of the natural world and to encourage and practice environmental stewardship. The environment is stressed Roger Tory Peterson Nature Interpretive Building. Outside are nature trails, an arboretum, an herb and butterfly garden, several habitats and indigenous wildlife.
