Jamestown Art Gallery's collections focusing on 19th and 20th century French, German and American paintings are housed in the James Predergast Library after extensive alterations and additions were completed to the library in 1960, the original building now home to the Art Gallery, offices, meeting rooms and storage space. The former Reading Room holds the permanent art collection and contains the original oak fittings and red tile fireplace.
